After losing my best friend Zoe to cancer, I felt an overwhelming need to keep a small piece of her close. Aileen, Zoe’s sister, shared this sentiment, and though neither of us were initially sure about memorial jewellery, we both longed for a tangible reminder of her. With the blessing of Aileen and Andy (Zoe’s husband), I decided to create something that would allow us to hold and carry Zoe with us wherever life took us.

That inseparable reminder soon took the form of a little bird—a delicate, handcrafted keepsake I affectionately call the "little Zoe bird." Aileen began carrying her little Zoe bird everywhere, and its comforting presence soon gave rise to curious questions. Friends asked Aileen about its meaning, and after sharing its heartfelt story, I found myself inspired to create similar tokens for others. This is how the littleloveddoves were born.
